Короткий огляд (реферат): Introduction. Treatment of acute respiratory infections in children with allergic rhinitis is one of the actual problems of pediatrics. Purpose. To evaluate the features of the clinical course and the eff ectiveness of local therapy with the drug lizak in the combined course of acute tonsillitis and pharyngitis in children with allergic rhinitis. Materials and methods. As part of a multicenter prospective study, 10810 children aged 4–17 years with the combined course of acute tonsillitis and pharyngitis (ATP) were examined. In 1164 children, the disease proceeded on the background of allergic rhinitis (main group), and 9646 children did not have allergic diseases (comparison group). Treatment of OTР in children of both groups was carried out without antibiotics, using the drug lizak in the complex therapy. Results. More children who were often ill (10.7% versus 7.5%, p=0.0001) and had more pronounced sore throat (2.31±0.02 points versus 2.23±0.01 points, p<0.001) were in the main group if compared with children without allergies. In the dynamics of complex treatment with the use of lizak, sore throat in the main group decreased by 2.86±0.03 days (in the comparison group – by 3.09±0.01 days, p<0.001). The pain disappeared in the main group in 4.39±0.04 days (in the comparison group – in 4.79±0.02 days, p<0.001). In the group with allergic rhinitis, the number of children with intense coughing was higher than in the group of children without allergies (15.4% versus 9.8%, p<0.001). On the third day of treatment, intense cough persisted in 10.7% of children with allergic rhinitis and 1.6% of children without allergies. On the 7th day of treatment, the number of children with intense cough in the group with allergic rhinitis did not decrease, and in children without allergies, intense cough was observed in only 0.5% of children. Conclusions. Our clinical study showed the eff ect of allergic rhinitis on the combined course of acute tonsillitis and pharyngitis in children. Patients of 4–17 years old with acute tonsillitis and pharyngitis, occurring on the background of allergic rhinitis, have more pronounced sore throat (p<0.001), greater intensity (p<0.001) and duration (p<0.001) of cough and a longer period of normalization of body temperature (p<0.05). In children with a concomitant course of acute tonsillitis and pharyngitis, the use of the drug lizak showed good tolerance and effi cacy, however, in children without allergic diseases, these indicators were higher (p<0.001). Keywords: acute tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis, treatment, lizak.
