Effective strategies for chronic disease management in resource-limited settings: the case of India

Abstract

Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), including diabetes and hypertension, remain leading causes of morbidity and mortality globally, disproportionately affecting low- and middle-income countries. In India, limited resources, workforce shortages, and unequal access to care limit effective prevention and long-term disease management, highlighting the need for scalable, sustainable models.
