Application of enterosorbents in treatment of patients with acute viral hepatitis

Abstract

The article provides with own research of the enterosorbent Atoksyl eff ectiveness in 6 patients with hepatitis A and B who were treated in the clinic of infectious diseases. The results of treatment compared with the corresponding parameters of 35 patients in comparison group who had the same composition by age, sex, severity, nature of comorbidity. The results demonstrate a justified application of Atoksyl in patients with no severe forms of hepatitis A and acute hepatitis B. It also allows us to reduce the period of intoxication and jaundice, to decrease levels of reverse and direct bilirubin compared with the corresponding rates in patients who don’t receive enterosorbents. The drug showed a good tolerance in patients and didn’t cause any serious side effects.
