Influenza. Clinical lecture (part one)

Abstract

Influenza infection didn’t lost it’s relevance despite of many years dedicated to the study of this problem. In recent decades there has formed a tendency to intensifi cation of changes in viruses which can cause disease in both animals and humans. That, in its turn, leads to the possibility of the formation of new pandemic strains and creating a threat to the world’s health organizations. The article presents a detailed information on the most studied pandemics of the 20th century, the analysis of the viruses that caused them, evaluation of the role of avian flu in the human morbidity and related to this risk of epidemic and pandemic spread.
