Abstract

anorexia is accompanied by changes from all internal organs and systems of the body, including the development of osteopenia and osteoporosis, thyroid dysfunction, decreased levels of sex hormones, and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Significant changes in the psycho-emotional state of such patients are noted. Thus, the reaction to various life situations changes, because the person is concentrated only on the diet and on the desire to lose weight, while ignoring the serious problems arising from the development of anorexia.
