Formation of readiness for professional activity of future dentists on the basis of interdisciplinary integration

Abstract

Aim: To present general approaches to designing a model of interdisciplinary integration of the discipline «Biomechanics of the maxillofacial apparatus. Physical foundations of gnathology». Materials and Methods: To accomplish the tasks set, the following theoretical and empirical methods of scientific research were used: system analysis, comparison and generalization for the theoretical substantiation of approaches to the organization of the educational process of dental students, bibliosemantic method. In order to design the interdisciplinary integration model, the dot textual graph description language as well as the Graphviz open-source toolkit for graph visualization were used. Results: According to the established valence of vertex p7, was determined that the practical lesson «Methods of diagnosing dento-maxillary anomalies and deformations. Conclusions: Establishing interdisciplinary connections based on the principles of designing a mixed graph makes it possible to identify points of contact in the content of academic disciplines, techniques, and methods of mental and educational activity of higher education students, thereby strengthening the foundation for the formation of professional practice-oriented competencies.
