Abstract

Atherosclerosis is a chronic disease of the arteries, the result of which is the formation of atherosclerotic plaques (a plaque consisting of cholesterol, fat, calcium and cell debris) on the inner lining of blood vessels. With the increase in plaques, the risk of serious problems with the cardiovascular system increases, as the walls of the arteries become thicker and lose elasticity, and blood flow is disrupted. Atorvastatin is a hypolipidemic drug that lowers cholesterol levels, but its regular uncontrolled intake leads to undesirable side effects. Purpose of the study. Based on previously conducted scientific research, to develop a method for quantitative determination of the active substance atorvastatin calcium in solid dosage forms.
