Abstract

Chondroitin sulfate is a sulfated glycosaminoglycan that plays a key role in maintaining the structural and functional integrity of cartilage tissue. Due to its ability to retain water and participate in proteoglycan synthesis, chondroitin is widely used in dietary supplements intended to support the musculoskeletal system. The growing demand for such products, combined with insufficient regulatory control compared to medicinal products, creates significant challenges related to quality, safety, and compliance with declared composition.
