Abstract

The issue of the toxic hepatic injury has acquired a broad social value over the past decades. The purpose of the research was to study the effect of the complex of germanium with nicotinic acid on parameters of energy metabolism and the structural and functional hepatic changes in doxorubicin intoxication. Based on the parameters of energy metabolism and morphometric hepatic changes, the potential hepatoprotective effect of the compound of germanium with nicotinic acid in chronic doxorubicin intoxication has been established.
