Короткий огляд (реферат): The article presents data on the incidence of hepatitis A in countries with different levels of socio-economic development. Clinical characteristics of infection in people of different age are given. The causes of severe disease are analyzed and the special attention is paid to the chronic HCV infection. Taking into account all of the above the WHO recommendations on specific prevention of hepatitis A, as well as normative documents which regulate vaccination against hepatitis A in Ukraine are given. The analysis of the results of a multicenter study of Havrix ™ vaccine in patients with chronic hepatitis C is presented, and it showed its high efficiency and safety.
